RFPJ with support from the UN Women under the auspices of the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund is implementing this project in the Rwenzori region for 2 years (2024-2026) covering five districts of Bundibugyo, Ntoroko, Kabarole, Kasese, and Kyenjojo. This project aims at enhancing women’s organizational and technical capacities to accelerate their contribution towards the pre-2025/2026 electoral conflict prevention in the Rwenzori region, by strengthening women’s capacity in pre-2025/2026 electoral conflict mapping, analysis, and prevention. The project is targeting 2098 women and 672 men as direct beneficiaries from the following structures: District and Sub-County women councils, District and Sub-County female councilors, Women leagues and leadership of political parties with structures in the Rwenzori region, Women wings under cultural institutions of Tooro, Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu (OBR) and Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba (OBB), the Independent Electoral Commission, Security agencies, and Grassroots women-led organizations.
