RFPJ promotes peaceful electoral processes and democratic governance in Uganda, recognizing that elections are potential destabilisers of peace and triggers of conflicts, especially in religious and ethnically plural settings. In this effort, RFPJ invests in the building, strengthening, and sustaining local and regional peacebuilding infrastructure that prevents, manages, and responds to electoral-related conflicts. Further, the organisation conducts pre-election advocacy campaigns, civic education at local levels and through local media, inter-political party dialogues, and post-election reconciliation initiatives.
